Warning: SACHI‘s latest single and video, “Take Me Back,” is going to give you major FOMO. Following a euphoric summer return to over 80,000 fans at COVID-free New Zealand festivals, the duo shares an irresistible love letter to live music.

Experimenting with their signature blend of electropop, “Take Me Back” is a soaring release of adrenaline-pumping energy. Opening with delicate chords, the track reminisces on simpler times leading to a club-urgent breakdown of thumping drums and elastic synths that perfectly highlights SACHI’s distinctive sound.

The song also arrives with a music video montage of fan footage from across SACHI’s most recent tour, creating a sentimental collage of the connection we all miss and share through live music. A much-needed reminder to the rest of the world that hope for life post-pandemic is still alive as long as we all do our part to achieve it.

“I guess when we were making it, we were thinking about pre-COVID life – where we could go to shows and be crammed next to a whole lot of people. A time we completely took for granted,” explains the duo. “We just hope it makes people feel something. The sole purpose of electronic music is to make people feel a certain way – we hope this song does that,” says SACHI.

“Take Me Back” follows SACHI’s vibrant 2020 singles, “Enchante” and “You (A La),” and their 2019 Nights With Ruby EP, which has amassed over 35 million Spotify streams. After storming NZ stages over the summer, and with anticipated festival dates on the way, SACHI keeps the hope of live music alive while reassuring the world that the show will go on.
