“UN DÍA (ONE DAY)” is out via Sueños Globales/UMLE

Following the release of Colores, J Balvin is back with “Un Dia (One Day),” a star-studded collaboration alongside Dua Lipa, Bad Bunny, and Tainy. A song about yearning and nostalgia, the bilingual anthem melds the husky, honey tones of Dua’s voice with emotive Spanish verses by two of urbano music’s biggest stars. Connecting once again with mega-producer Tainy and his NEON16 collective, the track fuses elements of house with Latin trap while Balvin and Bad Bunny spark the magic heard on their 2019 collaborative EP, Oasis.

Further commemorating the Latin cohort’s first crossover with pop star Dua Lipa is a music video directed by Stillz and starring Spanish actress Úrsula Corberóv, the protagonist of the Netflix series Money Heist. Inspired by noir films, the visual captures a stunning performance by Corberóv alongside symbolic scenes of eternal flames and light contrasting darkness. Watch below.

“Un Dia (One Day)” marks a major intersection of worlds among some of music’s most prominent artists. In addition to the success of his color spectrum-inspired album, J Balvin and Tainy recently collaborated on “Agua” from The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge on the Run soundtrack. Tainy also recently worked on “Lento,” Lauren Jauregui’s debut Latin single, Rosalia and Travis Scott’s “TKN” and was one of the producers on Bad Bunny’s record-breaking 2020 album, YHLQMDLG.

Continuing his reign as one of Latin music’s most influential artists, Bad Bunny’s most recent compilation, Las Que No Iban A Salir debuted #1 on Billboard’s Top Latin Albums. Meanwhile, multi-platinum artist Dua Lipa released her #1 UK sophomore album, Future Nostalgia in March. The crossover marks Dua’s first and hopefully not last foray into Latin music.
