Ariana Grande is back with her first solo single of the year, “positions.” The song alludes to Ari in a relationship and switching roles for her partner. Stepping away from her global spotlight, she talks about jumping through all of the hoops, being in the kitchen and the bedroom, meeting the parents, and more.

“positions” is the title track off Ariana’s highly-anticipated sixth studio album. The song arrives with a Dave Meyers-directed video showing Grande taking over the West Wing before switching it up. Check it out below.

Earlier in October, fans were stunned when Ariana announced on Twitter she would be releasing her next album this month. While details on the tracklist and collaborations are tightly sealed, the follow-up to the global smash album, Thank U, Next will certainly be one of the biggest releases of the year.

Although this is Grande’s first solo single of the year, she has achieved two #1 singles, joining forces with Justin Bieber on “Stuck with U” and featuring on Lady Gaga’s “Rain On Me.” The latter duo debuted their collab at VMAs in August, a night where Grande also went home with four moon-people.
