Stream Mabel’s New Single “Boyfriend”

“Boyfriend” is out via Polydor Records

British sensation Mabel returns with her new single “Boyfriend” and she’s calling for all the girls around the world for some unapologetic support as she takes another step towards becoming an international icon. The track sees Mabel charging ahead following the massive release of High Expectations and other collabs like her incredible smash with Tiesto, “God is a Dancer.”

Along with the single, Mabel unveils the video where you really see the visionary artist is becoming. Directed by Isaac Rentz, it brings the 90s vibes to the next level with some futuristic visuals that accompany the song’s theme of choosing (but not needing) a boyfriend. It combines dance routines and sassy facial expressions while playing with the idea of designing your dream partner.

The song was produced by Steve Mac and co-written by Mabel and Kamille. This trio has undoubtedly produced some of the singer’s biggest songs like “Don’t Call Me Up” and ‘Mad Love” but this record is somewhat a different ground for Mabel. The singer is no stranger to big pop songs but on this record, she is proving that she’s here to stay – experimenting with new electropop production that emphasizes her incredible vocals while showing her progress as an artist.
