Haven is out now via Chaos Club

Alt-pop musician RIZ LA VIE has just released his highly anticipated debut album, Haven, which is available now, including a limited run on vinyl. The album, which consists of 15 tracks, reflects the artist’s journey facing struggles, trying to find a sense of home in different cities, from New York to Los Angeles, and the ups and downs associated with forming new connections as he searches for a sense of safety and security both internally and externally.

Leading today’s release is the album’s title track, which further explores the theme of loss and the determination to find the silver lining even in the depths of sadness. Accompanied by a video directed by Quinton Dominguez, it offers a glimpse into RIZ’s world in LA as he holds onto optimism, freedom, and safety. On its subject matter and overall message, LA VIE explains, “The lyrics speak to the choice one can make to not dwell on negative emotions, but instead to find refuge in the power of one’s own mind. The message is one of personal strength and the constant effort needed to nurture one’s own inner haven.” Watch below.

With his debut studio album, RIZ LA VIE expands on the vibrant sonic world he’s built with previous releases, but this time, he shares more of himself with fans. He experiments with new production elements and blends genres, pushing boundaries like never before. Collaborators on the album include Vic Wainstein (Tyler the Creator, Mac Miller), Daniel Hartzog (Tom the Mailman, ericdoa), Lucy Blomkamp (6LACK, Mallrat), and Johan Lenox (BROCKHAMPTON, Metro Boomin, Shawn Mendes). It was mixed by KES (Ed Sheeran, Jacob Banks) and mastered by Mike Bozzi (Kendrick Lamar, Steve Lacy). Leading up to the release, the artist shared “Go Again,” Nitelite (casino royale),” and most recently, “FYP,” which captures a representation of the artist’s love affair with New York City and the feelings of longing and FOMO he experiences while living in Los Angeles.

In support of the album, LA VIE will be hitting the road across North America this spring on “The World Could Be A Haven Tour” with support from Johan Lenox and Ayleen Valentine. Having consistently caught the attention of tastemakers, including Billboard, Pigeons & Planes, and Ones to Watch, LA VIE is ready to invite listeners into his ethereal sound oasis.
