Otto Botté returns with “Humbara.” The song follows Botté’s song “En Vela ft. Nic Hanson, which has accumulated over 30K streams across platforms, and received support from Acid Stag, The Fox Magazine, and more.

With “Humbara,” Botté deep dives into his spirituality, as well as the culture-rich sounds of his Colombian roots. Creating a laidback electro-synth melody highlighted by enchanting, traditional instrumentation – from the thumping conga drums to the dance-inducing wooden flutes and maracas. Collectively culminating in a unique soundscape that fuses worlds and cultures into one irresistible dance track. Check out the accompanying quarantine lyric video below.

On the track, Otto Botté shares: “Humbara was the first song I created as a solo producer about 4 years ago. I was single then and the only thing I felt I could confidently write about was my relationship with God, so I wrote a song to him. Last year, I fell in love with someone and the more I heard this song, the more I felt God’s love in my relationship and how it constantly felt like He was singing this song back to me. It’s been a beautiful experience connecting with God these past few years, and at the time with her through this song. The experience itself always felt as if our relationship (mine with hers and God) was manifested through the melodies and grooves in this song. It symbolizes a spiritual connection between two people and God.”

“Humbara” is a significant triumph for an artist at the forefront of many projects. In addition to his solo work,  Botté is part of the group Pool Cosby, who just released their second album, Day Breaks. He’s also a sound engineer for other prominent artists, securing over 8 million in sales from studio work with Enrique Iglesias, Trey Songz, Fedez, Club Dogo, and others. Botté also worked on mastering Robin Schulz’s remix of “Waves” by Mr. Probz, landing him a Grammy nomination in 2015 for Best Remixed Recording – Non-Classical. Evidence that whether it’s his projects or behind the mix, Otto Botté brings a unique touch to his work that makes him a definite new artist to watch.
