“Praise” is taken from Tchami’s upcoming debut album, Year Zero.

Tchami does not miss – he’s back today with “Praise” featuring Gunna – and if you weren’t already missing club nights, you certainly will after this. Dancefloor-ready and armed with an irresistible bassline, the prolific French producer sets a hot groove before Gunna eases into the song with smooth vocoder vocals.

Fusing hip-hop and electronic music prove to create some of the most memorable collaborations and “Praise” has all of the elements of a surefire hit. Gunna is confident in his delivery but Tchami’s production makes the mesmerizing record soar to new heights. There’s alluring kinetic energy in the beat, thumping synths, and ornate hi-hats to create its encompassing soundscape.

For someone at the forefront of various projects, including co-producing four songs on Lady Gaga‘s Chromatica, Tchami’s output this year has been beyond impressive. “Praise” marks his sixth single of the year following “Faith” and double-single releases of “Born Again” / “Buenos Aires” and Proud” / “Ghosts”. Simultaneously, Tchami was also touring the U.S. before having dates slashed in mid-March due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Though many shows were unfortunately canceled, Tchami continues driving forward, vaguely indicating his highly-anticipated debut album, Year Zero will drop soon.

Though six singles provide some indication of the album we’ll receive from Tchami, the chart-topping creator of “Promesses,” and “Adieu,” among other hits, is always full of surprises as seen with this latest collaboration, and his upcoming album will certainly continue to push at the forefront of the future house genre he’s worked so tirelessly to create.
