Maisie Peters has unveiled the official music video for her new single “Body Better.” Shot in a cemetery in Los Angeles, California, and directed by Mia Barnes (Camila Cabello, BTS), the video sees Maisie channelling a spirit who haunts the grounds of a graveyard for the broken-hearted. Mourning the breakup of her relationship, Maisie shares her grief with a small group of friends before eventually coming to terms with the loss and learning to love herself.

On the track, Maisie shared: “Body Better is one of the most honest songs I’ve ever released, and definitely the most personal. I wrote it after a breakup, and it deals with the ugly things you think to yourself in the aftermath, when you’re painstakingly going through every small thing you did and were and wondering what you could have changed. It’s a song about insecurity and vulnerability, about giving a lot of yourself away to someone who decides they don’t want it anymore, and knowing where to go from there.”

Written by Maisie, alongside Ines Dunn (Griff, Mimi Webb) and producer Matias Téllez (girl in red, AURORA), “Body Better” is an earworm sure to quickly get stuck in your head. Brimming with more candor and vulnerability than ever before, it showcases the evolution of Maisie’s acclaimed diary-style songwriting and serves as a fitting entry point to Maisie Peters’ highly-anticipated sophomore record.

Last week, Maisie hit the road in support of Ed Sheeran’s Mathematics stadium tour in New Zealand and Australia. She’ll soon play her first-ever headline shows in Japan and Singapore, followed by headline shows across the UK and Europe, before returning for select dates of Ed Sheeran’s North American summer tour.
