“Neighbourhood” is out via Virgin EMI
Emerging London rapper DC has shared his latest single and visual, “Neighbourhood.” The self-reflective and autobiographical track finds the artist reminiscing on the struggles of his past while reaffirming his future stake as a prominent MC. From major scuffles to dedicating his life to hustling in the rap scene, DC chronicles his life with a hypnotic and versatile flow over a lo-fi and equally mesmerizing beat.
“Neighbourhood” is accompanied by a video filmed in and around his SE10 postcode; which reigns true to his lyricism on hometown loyalty. Directed by long-time collaborator LX, the clip reaffirms the MC’s devotion to his roots and upbringing in South East London. Watch below.
DC’s latest track is his first of the year and follows his debut EP, Under The Influence. In just a handful of years, the young MC has already built an impressive career. Including a tour with J Hus, DC has picked up support from BBC 1Xtra’s ‘Voice of The Streets’ Kenny Allstar. He also performed his track “No Manners” for COLORS, in the process amassing over one million streams on the track.
