Kygo has teamed up with Zara Larsson and rapper Tyga on the new track “Like It Is.” The tropical house single arrives following news the Norwegian DJ/producer will soon return with his third studio album, Golden Hour.
Although “Like It Is” starts out with a pleasantly familiar vibe, Kygo demonstrates his expanding style with new sounds and Tyga’s unexpected rap vocals. Swedish singer Zara Larsson is contributing with pop melodies and amazing vocals that bring you in and invite you to dream of sweet summertime. The track dropped with a brand new video featuring both collaborators and colourful visuals that accompany the song’s uplifting mood and sound perfectly.
“Like It Is” is an insight into the brand new project and sound we are to expect from the chart-topping 28-year-old artist. It follows the release of “Higher Love” featuring the archival vocals of Whitney Houston. Houston’s cover of the 1986 Steve Winwood classic was previously a Japan-only bonus track on her 1990 album, I’m Your Baby Tonight. In 2019, the stems were presented to Kygo by the Whitney Houston estate. Honoured to create music with one of the most iconic voices of all time, the producer rushed to create the collaborative track. Stream “Like It Is,” available now on all DSPs.
