“Daisies” is off #KP5 – due August 14 on Capitol Records
Katy Perry is unveiling her new single, “Daisies,” a triumphant celebration of strength and resilience in the face of adversity. Arriving during a universally difficult era, the song is a reminder to stay true to yourself, regardless of the obstacles ahead. The single is also paired with a breathtaking video by Filmmaker Liza Voloshin. Watch below.
Katy co-wrote the new single with Jon Bellion, Jacob Kasher Hindlin, Michael Pollack, Jordan K. Johnson, and Stefan Johnson. While the soaring production complementing Perry’s voice is by The Monsters & Strangerz.
The new single is off Katy’s upcoming album, currently called #KP5 by fans. While still untitled, Perry’s fifth studio album is due for release on August 14th. Beginning today, fans can pre-order “Daisies”-themed bundles here. Katy’s Daisies digital flower shop is also open for sending virtual bouquets and messages to friends and loved ones.
On Friday, May 15, Katy will perform live from home, and answer fan-submitted questions for Amazon Music’s live performance series on Amazon.com. Kicking off at 10:00 AM PT, Katy will perform “Daisies” for the first time alongside some fan-favorites. Katy is joining Amazon Music to bring awareness to the MusiCares COVID-19 Relief Fund.
