Songs For Every Condition arrives this fall on Neon Gold Records
Arriving to brighten your summer playlists is a dual release by Jax Anderson. Lifted from her upcoming album, Songs For Every Condition, the Detroit artist FKA Flint Eastwood unveils two tracks from the HAPPY condition. Following the previously unveiled conditions, HOPEFUL (with MisterWives & Curtis Roach) and CLOUDY (with PVRIS and Lauren Sanderson), the first song, “Say I Do,” is intended to be a quintessential dance song at queer weddings. While the second song, “Bigger Picture,” features VÉRITÉ. Could you ask for a better collab?
Menacing dark synths crawl out as two of pop’s powerful voices intertwine with ease. Infectious, kismet, and a perfect juxtaposition of light and dark, soaring choruses are met with smoky verses, fusing the undeniable energy and genre-melting sound of two immeasurable talents. See the Jax-directed video below.
“Songs For Every Condition was inspired by the different conditions of life,” shares Jax on her album. “I didn’t force myself into a certain soundscape or to stick to a certain genre, but instead allowed the music to be inspired by the different conditions I was in at the time. What came out was a wonderful variety of honest songs.”
VÉRITÉ adds: “I’m always really grateful when an artist trusts me enough to bring me into their world, especially an artist like Jax who has such a vision. I love the concept she’s created for this next record and how she’s bringing in these different perspectives to explore these different angles of feeling. I’m so happy that I got to contribute to ‘Bigger Picture’ because it feels like this exuberant celebration of love and how when you find the right person, all the hard shit you’ve had to go through feels like it’s part of a larger purpose, to bring you to that moment.”
Songs For Every Condition is the anticipated follow-up to Jax’s 2019 Heal EP and arrives on Neon Gold Records this fall. Anderson, who changed from her Flint Eastwood moniker to her real name, has built a reputation for writing alt-pop anthems that boldly speak to overcoming the forces preventing us from loving ourselves and actualizing our full potential.
