“Light Of Love” is out on Virgin EMI/Republic

Florence + the Machine have released “Light Of Love” – an outtake from their fourth studio album, High As Hope. The uplifting track is a “soothing sonic balm to help heal anxious spirits” and is helping raise awareness and money for The Intensive Care Society Covid-19 Fund.

Florence Welch says: “’Light Of Love’ never made the record but I thought it would be nice to share it with the fans at this time of uncertainty and could be a good way to raise awareness for the Intensive Care Society COVID-19 Fund. And to show my love, respect, and admiration to all those working on the front line of this crisis.”

The track starts out as a slow piano ballad but evolves quickly. The chorus and the message of the song are pure. “Don’t go blindly into the dark/ In every one of us shines the light of love.” The song comes at a time where everyone needs a little motivation to see the light at the end of the tunnel.

Florence will be donating all the profit from the song to The Intensive Care Society Covid-19 Fund and is welcoming her fans to donate if they can. Stream “Light Of Love” below and see previous Florence + the Machine coverage here.
