EDC Las Vegas 2019: Five Must-See Emerging Artists

EDC Las Vegas returns on May 18-20: TICKETS

It’s no secret that Insomniac Events drops the most gorgeous festival lineups every year and EDC Las Vegas is no exception. Since revealing their lineup just a few days ago, the iconic festival has already sold 90% of their tickets! So, we know we aren’t the only ones thinking this, either.

Though we have the show-stopping acts like Zeds Dead, international sensations like Armin Van Buuren, and all-around party anthem king Tiesto rolling up to this year’s EDC stage, we also have a plethora of artists just starting to gain recognition for their work. Here’s our take on the five emerging artists you can’t sleep on at this year’s EDC Las Vegas.

1. Whipped Cream

Don’t sleep on Vancouver-native, Whipped Cream because she’s going to be taking the main stage one day. After debuting her first few festival sets this year, most recently at Ultra Music Festival in Miami, it’s clear this feisty and tiny artist packs a hard punch within every bass-heavy track she generates. As an acclaimed version of Alison Wonderland, based upon her appearance, Whipped Cream is quickly making a name for herself and carving her own path.

2. Lil’ Texas

With a mere 12,000 followers on his Facebook artist page, one would be surprised to see Lil’ Texas taking a spot on the EDC Las Vegas stage. However, if you dive into his work, you’d be stoked to see the enthusiastic stage presence he exhibits. Looking nothing like your traditional LA-turned producer, Lil’ Texas is sure to wow the crowd with his heavy dubstep and Rusko-like, crazy demeanor. Definitely check his set out this year, he deserves it.

3. SVDDEN DEATH

Though most would not consider this San Jose-native to be a “newbie” to the festival scene, SVDDEN DEATH is definitely emerging in the mainstream-dubstep crowd. His bad-boy stance and recent collaboration with hit DJ Marshmello broke him out into the scene, and boy are we glad that happened. “Sell Out” is a new personal favorite and I cannot wait to see him rock the stage with his infectious hype and heavy beats.

4. Paul Denton

This Dublin-based producer is definitely one for the books — as one of the first Irish DJs known to hit the EDC stage (and probably the EDM scene in general), Paul Denton is ready to wow the crowds in Vegas. Known most recently for his track, Wasp, which features an upbeat, anthem-like sound, Denton is perfect for the ideal rave girl’s next Spotify playlist.

Volac

As a rising g-house and bass artist, Volac is definitely due for a major appearance on the EDC Las Vegas stage this year. His hit, Like Dis, has racked up a whopping 2+ million streams on Spotify, and it’s very well deserved. This funky beat and traditional step-sound marry to create a blended sound unlike no other. Listen to Like Dis and be sure to catch his next skyrocketing performance at EDC this year.
