Rising UK artist Cooza released his highly anticipated new single, “I See You See,” on Friday. Picking up where Our Day, his hypnotizing 2020 record, left off, this track is a driving, folkish ode to the power of change in all its glory.

Whereas Our Day was almost meditative in its approach, there is a newfound sense of tension in “I See You See.” Combining Cooza’s signature acoustic guitar with the echoing kick of percussion and tight vocal harmonies. The kind of minimalist, lyrically-driven style that flooded Spotify playlists throughout the pandemic. Harkening back to Taylor Swift’s Evermore and Hayley William’s Flowers for Vases. In Cooza’s hands as well, the results are truly magical.

Cooza shares: ‘”I See You See” is a special one to me. It’s about moving on from something you know isn’t working for you in life and how letting go can sometimes be a good thing. But, it’s also about the beauty of nature in the summertime, my favourite time of year.’

Cooza also recently teased this is ‘barely a hint of what’s to come.’ If previous efforts are anything to go by, it will certainly be worth the wait. Stream “I See You See.”
