Invasion of Privacy is out April 6 via Atlantic Records
Earlier this week, Cardi B revealed the album cover and release date for her debut album Invasion of Privacy. The album, which is out April 6 via Atlantic Records, follows a year of sky-rocketed success and milestones for the rapper, including 2 Grammy nominations, 3 weeks at #1 on the Hot 100 with “Bodak Yellow,” and an 8-carat engagement ring from Migos rapper Offset. Unfortunately, the engagement to Offset has not been without a few speed bumps, which includes proven infidelity.
Now, with just one week until her album release, Cardi B has released her new single “Be Careful.” The track, which is slower and more melodic than her previous hits, is a direct response to the buzz surrounding her high-profile relationship. During the song, Cardi says she is ready to get married but is very quick to warn her “Stir Fry” fiance not to stray again. The NY rapper continues by chronicling their woes in detail, claiming texts go unanswered, continued and suspicious social media activity, and Offset keeping in touch with some of his exes.
Fans loving the new track will hopefully get a few chances to see it live soon. Cardi B is set to make her Saturday Night Live debut next week and will follow her performance with back-to-back weekends at Coachella and a set at Rolling Loud in Miami. Of course, that is leading up to her September tour with her friend and “Finesse” collaborator Bruno Mars.
