No Time To Die in theatres globally in April 2020
Billie Eilish will sing the theme song for the 25th James Bond film, No Time To Die– as announced by MGM, Universal Pictures and EON Productions. The track will arrive in early April alongside the film’s release and makes Billie the youngest artist to write and record a James Bond theme. The title number is co-written with brother and producer, FINNEAS.
In a press release, Eilish shares, “It feels crazy to be a part of this in every way. To be able to score the theme song to a film that is part of such a legendary series is a huge honor. James Bond is the coolest film franchise ever to exist. I’m still in shock.”
FINNEAS adds, “Writing the theme song for a Bond film is something we’ve been dreaming about doing our entire lives. There is no more iconic pairing of music and cinema than the likes of Goldfinger and Live And Let Die. We feel so so lucky to play a small role in such a legendary franchise, long live 007.”
The news arrives as Billie Eilish prepares for a promising debut at the GRAMMYs and her first headline arena tour. While the arena tour is sold out, fan cans hear the James Bond theme song in theatres starting April 2nd (UK) and 10th (U.S.). See past Billie Eilish coverage here.
