Anakim’s EP, Poseidon’s Revenge is out on Desert Hearts Black

Quickly making a name for himself in the LA scene is DJ/producer Anakim. In addition to a residency at Sound, the rising artist has released tracks under coveted labels, such as Mau5trap, Insomniac Records, EIN2, and most recently, Desert Hearts Black.

Poseidon’s Revenge is Anakim’s latest EP and first with Desert Hearts Black. Featuring songs like “The High Priestess” and “Alien in the Stargate,” this latest effort is a strong dive into the DJ’s self-proclaimed “intergalactic underground sound.”

The EP arrives following sets at Coachella, EDC, Holy Ship, Beyond Wonderland, and others. Now, after being named one of Billboard Dance’s Emerging Artists of the year, Anakim shares with us his 5 must-see DJ live streams.

1. Desert Hearts Black: Marbs & Evan Casey

Marbs and Evan are the founders of Desert Hearts Black, a label I recently released an EP on. Not only are they friends, but they are two of the best DJs I know. This 7hr set is chock-full incredible track selections to keep you dancing the entire time.

2. Drumcode Indoors II

The Drumcode crew took over a stream for Beatport’s channel the other day. That’s all I have to say about this one. If you are into techno, don’t skip this one.

3. Enamour Quaranstream 003

Another friend of mine, Enamour’s set is perfect to turn on during the day and get lost. Really beautiful set.

4. ANNA @ ReConnect | Beatport Live

Anna is one of my favorite producers and DJs. I have never been disappointed seeing her and this quarantine session for Beatport delivers.

5. La Fleur @ ReConnect | Beatport Live

I was so impressed with the track selection in this live set! I put this one on twice already.
