“Girls Like Us” is out on Capitol Records
Zoe Wees has released her must-see new music video for her single, “Girls Like Us,” a song about empowering and standing in solidarity with girls around the world who are feeling the pressures of society.
“It’s not always good to think about how you look to the rest of the world,” shares the 18-year-old artist. “It’s much more important to think about how you feel inside.” Confidence is something that comes from within yourself; however, embracing it can be difficult. Once you accept the fact that we all naturally have confidence, showing it to the world becomes much easier – and with that comes self-love.
The “Girls Like Us” music video beautifully represents that no matter who we are, we are all the same, and “we all go to bed without make-up with the ugliest clothes and wake up with the messiest hair on earth.” There are also times when we feel alone but it’s important to remember that even when you feel like you have no one to talk to, and the only thing that you can do is “numb the pain,” that we all go through similar things and you are never on your own.
It comes as no surprise that Zoe is quickly becoming a major artist. Her debut single, “Control” it was added to the world’s two biggest playlists – Spotify’s Today’s Top Hits and Apple Music’s Today’s Hits. The song has since surpassed over 270 million global combined streams and has been certified Gold in five countries.
The German sensation recently made her U.S. television debut on The Late Late Show with James Corden, performing “Control.” She was also featured on the cover of Apple Music’s “New Music Daily” and appeared on “The Zane Lowe Show.” Stream “Girls Like Us” on all available platforms.
