“Birdz” is out via HARD Recs
Grammy-nominated producer Wuki connecting with Smokepurpp on “Birdz” is a collab I definitely didn’t know I needed but now I can’t wait to hear this live once shows fully return. Out today on HARD Records, the track highlights Wuki’s rowdy, cinematic trap beats while Purpp commands the track with his raw, menacing flow.
A strong EDM/hip-hop crossover always slaps and “Birdz” is no exception. Wuki’s bass-centered flare and hard trap melodies provide nonstop energy and give the track an immediate otherworldly feel that will have you dancing the minute you hear it.
Wuki’s collab with Smokepurpp follows high-profile releases with Juvenile, Yung Baby Tate, Stoppa, Diplo, Shaq, Skrillex, Slayyyter, among others. In addition to his Valentino Khan collab “Better” sparking a viral Tik-Tok trend, with over five million videos made globally, Wuki’s song “Throw It” was used in Netflix’s film Work It. Wuki’s first Grammy nomination in arrived January 2019 for his remix of the Miley Cyrus hit “Mother’s Daughter.”
Chicago rapper Smokepurpp‘s first release of the year follows the release of his 2020 album, Florida Jit, and collabs with Tm88, KSI & Lil Pump, and others. The young artist first emerged with massive songs “Samsung Jumpin,’ ‘Ski Mask,’ and the mega-hit “Audi,” clocking in over 250 million streams and landing him a deal with Alamo/Geffen Records.
