“Cut Your Hair” is a preview of Walt Disco’s upcoming debut EP
Glaswegian band Walt Disco has shared a new video for their single “Cut Your Hair.” The track, which arrived a few weeks ago, was their first of the year and previews the charismatic six piece’s upcoming debut EP.
Doused with the group’s loved elements of glam pop/rock, new wave, and post-punk flare, “Cut Your Hair” is another anthemic track from the rising band. Taking a stance against dreaded conformity and outdated naysayers, Walt Disco is extravagantly defiant on the buzzing song. Watch the new visual below.
Created entirely by Walt Disco, the clip sees the bandmates engaging in off-kilter activities around their shared flat. From the synchronized dances seen in their live performances to guitar solos on beds and risqué leg shaves in the shower, the band is clearly making the best of their collective time in lockdown.
“Cut Your Hair” is produced by Thomas McNeice of Gang of Four. The band is led by singer James Power and complemented by keys player Dave Morgan, bassist Finlay McCarthy, guitarists Lewis Carmichael and Charlie Lock, and drummer Jack Martin. In addition to working on their debut EP, the band is currently confirmed for a tour in September. See dates below and stream “Cut Your Hair.”
