“can I call you back” is out via BLNK Music
Swedish artist SHY Martin returns with a brand new, delicate single “can I call you back?” A song about her struggles with mental health. The track is a precursor to a new EP arriving later this year, which will also feature her recent collaboration with fellow Swedish artist Boy In Space on “Still The Same.”
Explaining to people why you’re unable to talk to them can be extremely difficult, however, the new single perfectly describes what one might be going through when dealing with mental health problems. SHY has previously shared her struggles with anxiety. “Starting that conversation felt so important for me, and to keep it going I need to keep being honest with my music. ‘can I call you back?’ is a continuation of that,” she explains.
SHY first broke out as a songwriter. Since then, she’s worked with Kygo, Bebe Rexha, and The Chainsmokers. She participated in Bebe Rexha’s 2018 ‘Women In Harmony’ Dinner in Los Angeles, a gathering to empower female artists in music including Charli XCX, Kim Petras, and Avril Lavigne and also supported Nina Nesbitt at her London show.
