Just recently, he’s soared to an impressive 250K followers across TikTok and Instagram by continuing to share positive affirmations, relatable advice, and catchy bars. A testament to his rising star, the Lebanese-Palestinian rapper jumped on Instagram Live with Justin Bieber on April 9th and jammed out to his new single, “Slip” with Bieber and over 60K people.
His third single, “Slip” stands out for its light and groovy acoustic instrumentals and witty, romantic lyrics. The track is one of the artist’s best shows of versatility as both a rapper and singer. Anees shares: “this is the first song where I felt I truly announced myself to the music world in equal parts as a singer and a rapper.” By showing his true colors and vulnerability on “Slip,” he believes the “song has the power to inspire people to accept and embrace whoever or whatever they love.“
The song’s music video dropped on YouTube shortly after the song. The visual provides an entirely new element of playfulness and passion. He takes his audience on a picnic date over his affectionate and authentic lyrics. Watch below.
Anees has plans to drop the full EP by the end of the summer. We are looking forward to more singles like “drunk on myself” and “love is crazy.” They have yet to be officially released, but he has already previewed them on TikTok, leaving fans excited for more.
