Released today, “Stoked” is a buzzy, genre-defying track with a slick bassline, clever production, and a laidback melody that’ll have you clicking repeat. From the otherworldly and arcade game samples to the sound of a metal chain repeatedly hitting a surface, the track creates a captivating vibe for joe’s distorted and compelling vocal performance.
Carefree and experimental, the song introduces an artist that is genuinely on the cusp, delivering pizzas by day and songwriting with his roommate by night. “What mainly inspires me to write would be my desire to create,” shares joe. “This new music is proof to myself that you can have a vision from day one, and through that growth and development, you can produce something great.”
“Stoked” is co-produced by GRAMMY-nominated producer Imad Royal (Doja Cat, Oliver Tree) and Blake Bigfoot (joe’s roommate), and just the beginning for the new artist. The child of a single mother and an undocumented Mexican immigrant, joe states his upbringing, living in multiple states before settling in California, and his eclectic taste in music is strongly influencing his upcoming project.
