“Que Locura” is out on Sueños Globales/UML

Today, Colombian megastar J Balvin has announced his fifth studio album, José, which drops on September 10th. The news arrives with “Que Locura,” a track juxtaposing the allure of club nights with the loneliness of longing for a former flame.

Dreamy Caribbean instrumentation, light dancehall influences, and pounding bass guide the somber lyrics, making it impossible not to dance. The song is elevated by a visually stunning music video by Jose Sagaro / Film Headz.

“Que Locura” follows J Balvin’s viral release “In Da Getto” featuring Skrillex. This week, Balvin also received nine nominations for the upcoming Billboard Latin Awards, including Composer of the Year and Artist of the Year.

The recent success is on the heels of “Otra Noche Sin Ti,” Balvin’s collaboration with Khalid, which reached #1 on Billboard’s Latin Airplay and Latin Rhythm charts, marking a historic 29th #1 Latin song for the artist — the most #1s of any Latin artist.
