“Bad Boy” (Torren Foot Remix) is out via Sony/Artista Records: Stream
Australian DJ/producer Torren Foot is sharing his new tech-house remix of Yung Bae‘s single “Bad Boy.” Elevating the track’s insatiable funk flare, the energetic new cut fuses intricate house rhythms, striking synths, and tasteful dub elements to create a club-ready groove.
Torren is no stranger to creating unstoppable tracks worth incessant streams and that’s clear with this remix. His vision for crafting club anthems always carries an irresistible heat. The kind that makes you want to just let your hair down and get lost in the beat. Even if you’re just hanging at home, cruising down the highway, or preparing for a future night out. Listen below and get ready to dance.
Regarding the remix, Torren shares: “The original record is so fun, I definitely wanted to keep the moments that people were drawn to. The funky summer hook and Bad Boy tag line were what made the song so memorable for me. I wanted to take those elements, and apply it to something that would do just as much damage on a dancefloor (or a loungeroom)!”
Torren Foot’s must-hear remix is the third rework of Yung Bae’s single. It follows a piano house edit by Low Steppa and a disco remix from SMLE. The release arrives a few months after Torren’s insane single, “More Life,” which spent 5 weeks at #1 on Beatport and was the most played song on Triple J in February. With a 2017 ARIA nomination for best dance release already in the rearview, it’s clear Torren Foot is just starting to reveal his best work yet. So buckle in and keep an eye on this Aussie.
