“You’re Too Precious” is out via Polydor/Republic

After weeks of serenading the world on his lockdown live streams, James Blake returns with “You’re Too Precious.” Like his many broadcasts, the track is an intimate endeavor and a grand display of Blake’s airy vocals. Co-written and co-produced alongside Mount Kimbie’s Dominic Maker, the track finds the English singer-songwriter confessing the strength of his affection.

From taking his lover’s unwanted calls to being a protective bubble and more, the singer finds just the right words in between claps and downtempo, glitched production. The track is James Blake’s first single of the year and is ushering in another exciting chapter for the artist.

“You’re Too Precious” follows James Blake’s fourth album, Assume Form. In addition to clocking over 400 million streams, the album features tracks with Rosalía, André 3000, Travis Scott, Moses Sumney, and guest production by Metro Boomin. Stream the new single on all available platforms.
