New EP, Letters To An X due May 14

Alt-pop/folk duo HARLOR is giving off total Bastille vibes on their vulnerable new single, “Heart Games.” Playing with fire – the song captures the too relatable tale of falling hard for someone when you know it won’t end well. Lead singer Nick Gerard’s distinctive timbre and heartfelt lyrics cut through magical indie production by Max Anthony, creating an inescapable synergy that is as energetic as it is dramatic and intimate.

Sharing the meaning behind the track, Nick says, “The title ‘Heart Games’ is parallel to someone playing mind games, but in this instance, you know what’s going on. They’re playing with your heart, not your head. The record ebbs and flows to different places as you progress through the song. I think that’s the coolest part of this record, the growth it experiences in just a few minutes.”

Fusing a guitar-driven melody with compelling production and stellar vocals, HARLOR follows their debut songs, “Not Ready To Go” and “As A Dream,” with a strong case for being artists to watch in 2021. Infectious and sincere, “Heart Games” arrives ahead of the duo’s debut EP, Letters To An X, which drops on May 14th. Stream the song on all available platforms here.
