On again, off again. Stuck somewhere in between and trying to navigate your innermost thoughts and emotions. Even when you already know the right thing to do. It’s those overwhelming moments inspiring Hannah Hausman‘s latest single, “Will I Ever Feel Like This Again?”
“I wrote this when I started to realize the person I was in love with was wrong for me,” reveals Hannah. “I knew I needed to walk away, but he made me feel something I had never felt before. I knew I was being used and manipulated, but I was so scared of falling into apathy, so I stayed way longer than I should have.”
Channeling mixed feelings of apathy, heartbreak, and inevitable closure, Hannah delivers a bittersweet track that flexes her angelic voice over a melodramatic pop beat highlighted by arpeggio synths, subdued drums, and softly strummed guitars.
“Will I Ever Feel Like This Again?” recently received an accompanying music video, which blends nostalgic analog film and somber effects to capture the various stages of loss and transition felt throughout the song.
Hannah Hausman’s new single marks her first release with Quadio Records. After losing her voice for more than a year due to a virus and feeling like she may never recover, she’s returned stronger than ever and armed with a fountain of inspiration. With her 2018 debut single, “lost in brooklyn,” recently surpassing one million streams and months of rediscovering her sound and self in the rearview, 2021 could be a breakout year for the cherry-sweet vocalist.
