Supafly Strikes Back EP is out via Payday Records
North London producer Flyo returns with “In The Mood,” featuring Stella Santana and Jesse James Solomon. The song closes out the rising artist’s newest EP, Supafly Strikes Back, which also dropped on Friday (02/28).
With “In The Mood,” we’re immediately drawn into a slow-burning alt-rap gem, highlighted by bouncing heavy bass, Stella’s velvety-smooth voice, and Solomon’s suggestive lyricism – making for a must-hear track.
The video for “In The Mood” is directed by Miles & AJ, visionaries behind Billie Eilish’s “Bellyache,” among others. While the track flows within melodic R&B sounds, a strong majority of Supafly Strikes Back, the follow-up to 2019s Supafly, is heavily entrenched in the UK’s gritty underground rap scene, and proof that Flyo is one of the standout talents in that space.
Supafly Strikes Back is an EP you’ll want to stream from start to finish. It was first teased last year with “Hoodies, Gloves” featuring Youngs Teflon and most recently “Still The Best” with Ms Banks – which absolutely goes off. Rounding out the 5-track EP is “Let’s Not Talk” and “Way Up.” Stream below.
