Austin’s Dayglow Makes D.C. Debut In November

Dayglow headlines DC9 on 11/08: Tickets

Last month, 20-year-old Austin native Sloan Struble aka Dayglow returned with a new single and music video called “Nicknames.” The catchy song is a continuation of his 2018 debut album, Fuzzybrain, and was written during the same period. See Dayglow try to play some sports before breaking into a funky dance party with a large group of people.

Writing, producing, and mixing the album on his own, Fuzzybrain gives us a clear view into the mind of Dayglow and is a true testament to his DIY spirit. The album features great tracks like “Can I Call You Tonight?” which is led by cinematic loops, drums, and Struble’s filtered vocals. “Run The World!!!” has a strong Blitzkrieg Bop-inspired shout and upbeat mix of sounds, while “Fair Game” will make you want to dance. Listen below.

Kicking off at Austin City Limits earlier this month, Dayglow continues his tour in support of Fuzzybrain through November. While currently on the road with COIN, he will soon perform a handful of headline sets including one I’m absolutely not missing on November 8th at DC9. Additional dates are confirmed in Atlanta, NYC, LA, Toronto, Chicago, and more. See below and purchase tickets here.
