Tel Aviv-based artist Danny Kuttner has unveiled her new single, “Limelight,” a vibrant bassline-driven track with a sunny disposition. Smooth, soulful, and upbeat, the song leans on ECM contemporary jazz and 90s neo-soul while blending laidback organic tones and left-field electronic production, creating a song perfect for a day of exploring nature or sunbathing with friends and a cocktail. Written with her friend and drummer Roy Reemy, “Limelight” is the final preview of Danny’s debut EP, Purple, which will be released on March 31st.

“It has a chill yet groovy feel -It’s that kind of song that would lift your mood, on a sunny day,” shares Danny Kuttner, “the lyrics talk about finding my place, self – growing and searching my internal home.”

Much like the rest of her debut EP, which has already been teased by singles “Come Play With Me” and “Chasing Myself,” Kuttner originally intended to create the song herself from scratch. However, after an afternoon of drinking tea and discussing life with Roy, the pair turned the casual encounter into “Limelight,” arguably one of the strongest tracks on the EP.

Inspired by a range of artists, from Norah Jones and Billie Holiday to James Blake and Hiatus Kaiyote, Danny Kuttner’s Purple introduces the world to an artist with a pulse on a different perspective and outlook on contemporary music. Soak in “Limelight” and watch out for Kuttner’s stunning 8-track debut EP arriving March 31st on Kartel Music Group.
