Today, Grammy-winning, multi-platinum producer benny blanco releases a music video for “I Found You/Nilda’s Story” alongside Calvin Harris, Miguel, and director Jake Schreier. The video was created in support of While They Wait Fund, a new collaborative initiative between Brooklyn Defender Services, RAICES and the ACLU of Southern California launched to aid the more than one million immigrants in the United States currently applying for asylum or other legal relief.

The video tells the story of a Honduran woman, Nilda, and her two-year-old son. See their emotional journey in full below.

Nilda is one of 311,000 immigrants living in the U.S. currently seeking asylum, and one of 92,000 parents with ongoing immigration cases. The average time it takes to resolve an outstanding immigration case is 643 days or nearly two years.
