“Bodies” is out via Palette Records: Stream
Alt-pop artist ALITA is back with a new single “Bodies.” Led by shimmering 80s synths, crushing kick drums, and alluringly airy vocals, the sultry pop track is a beacon of empowerment and confidence. The song provides a powerful anthem for strong, independent women and also encourages asserting desire and passion from another perspective.
“Bodies” is about uplifting women in their sexuality and also contributes to supporting women in the music industry. The vibe of the song provided a step forward for ALITA to begin creating a strong network of female collaborators. So that stories about women can be told in their most authentic forms.
“I’m almost always the only woman in the room when I’m writing music, ” ALITA elaborates. “I love and value my male collaborators, but there’s a different energy and camaraderie that comes from female collaboration and I was craving that.”
ALITA’s new track is a departure from her most recent singles, “Human Nature” and “Too Close.” While her previous tracks delve into the toxicity of unhealthy romantic behavior, “Bodies” is an unapologetic and bold stance on telling intimate stories with honesty. Stream the new single below.
