Sueños Music Festival continues to grow into a pillar of Latin culture in the United States. The 2024 edition sold out in just five days, demonstrating the festival’s strong resonance with fans and underscoring the incredible lineup it promised, featuring Rauw Alejandro, Peso Pluma, and Maluma.

Despite Sunday’s weather disruptions, which led to the cancellation of sets by artists such as Manuel Turizo and Peso Pluma, Sueños 2024 still delivered an unforgettable energy in Grant Park. The third edition brought some of the festival’s most exciting performances to date, like Rauw Alejandro’s slick, career-spanning set, Xavi’s standout breakthrough performance, and a short but sweet headlining set from Maluma.

The lineup spanned genres and generations, with appearances from Latin Mafia, Alvaro Diaz, Sorry Papi, Jowell y Randy, and more. See photos and coverage from Sueños 2024 weekend:

Xavi

Mexican-American artist Xavi brought the energy to a peak with his unique blend of urban sierreño and corridos tumbados, delivering one of the weekend’s best performances. I didn’t realize he could sing that well live—it was incredible, and fans were so moved they threw roses onto the stage in admiration. Performing at his first-ever music festival, he unleashed Billboard-charting hits like “La Diabla” and “La Víctima.” His performance felt like a breakthrough moment: commanding, charismatic, and vocally stunning.

Spanish artist Rels B delivered a vibey set blending 808-heavy beats with smooth sing-rap. His hit “Como Dormiste?” was a standout.

Young Miko

Breakout Puerto Rican artist Young Miko returned to Sueños with a set that proved just how much she’s grown since her 2023 set. She had the crowd in the palm of her hand as she played songs from her Capitol Records debut album, att., including “curita.” Bad Gyal joined Miko live for “Chulo Pt. 2,” and Miko closed with her new collab with Bizarrap, one of the best moments of the weekend.

Bizzarap

Viral Argentine producer Bizzarap brought the first official DJ set of Sueños (aside from the great hosting DJs), and it was epic. He ran through hits with Shakira, Quevedo, and Young Miko, turning up the heat with each drop and pyrotechnic blast.

Rauw Alejandro

Global star Rauw Alejandro closed out Saturday with a headlining set that proved why he remains one of Latin music’s most dynamic performers. From the moment he stepped onto the stage in his sleek, retro-inspired outfit, it was clear that we were witnessing a new chapter. He’s shedding the futuristic chrome and Y2K aesthetic of Saturno for something more timeless – a sophisticated 70s style with Prada aviators, tailored slacks, and an energy that felt both elevated and intimate.

The set itself was a celebration of his career, blending past hits like “Todo De Ti” and “Desesperados” with what was to come next. He debuted “Touching The Sky,” a disco-pop track that lit up the crowd and hinted at a sonic shift toward something groovier, more romantic, but still fully Rauw. The choreography was tight. The vocals were sharp. His presence was mesmerizing, and the crowd screamed throughout the entire set. It was the headlining show Sueños 2024 deserved.

Sunday, May 26

Heavy storms delayed the day’s programming, but Sueños worked quickly to deliver on as many sets as possible.

Bad Gyal

Spanish star Bad Gyal hit the stage with only 20 minutes but wasted none of it. She shook every inch of the stage and debuted her new single “Perdio” featuring Ivy Queen to a roaring crowd.

Maluma

Colombian artist Maluma may have had his highly-anticipated set cut short due to weather, but the moment still felt iconic. With 70,000 people singing along to “Hawai” in Grant Park, he created one of the weekend’s most unforgettable memories. Hopefully, it’s not the last we see of the Medellin star.
