In 2023, Sueños Festival continued to set the tone with an epic lineup led by Grupo Firme, Feid, Wisin y Yandel, and Nicky Jam. The second edition felt bigger, more dialed in, and packed with moments that confirmed its growing place as one of the most important Latin music festivals in the U.S. I got in just in time to catch the iconic Ivy Queen.
Even from the back of the crowd, her presence was magnetic. Dressed in red leather and lace, she looked incredible, commanding the stage with decades of confidence. Hearing her perform “Quiero Bailar” felt like the perfect song to open this two-day event. 2023 also featured sets from Junior H, El Alfa, Gera MX, each adding their own energy to a packed two-day celebration in the heart of Chicago.
Here’s a look at the performances that made Sueños 2023 unforgettable:
Saturday, May 27th
Chencho Corleone
Chencho came out swinging with a set packed full of reggaeton staples. His unmistakable voice cut through the early afternoon air, and the energy shifted as soon as “Me Porto Bonito” rang out. The crowd jumped into gear, instantly locked into the rhythm.

Arcángel
Arcángel made golden hour his own. His flow felt effortless, and his delivery was as sharp as ever. “La Jumpa” sent a ripple through the crowd, with fans dancing and rapping along from start to finish.

Feid
Feid’s performance had a cinematic quality to it. The stage glowed green, his vocals soared, and the “El Sapo Perrietor” monster truck towered behind him, giving the set a surreal, larger-than-life feel. With the city skyline framing the moment and fans chanting every lyric, it was one of the most memorable sets of the weekend. The production was impressive and proved Sueños knows how to go big when it counts.

Wisin y Yandel
Wisin y Yandel brought pure adrenaline. Their chemistry lit up the stage, whether performing solo material or revisiting classics like “Rakata.” That moment hit hard, like a rush of memory from the era of burned CDs and teenage speakers on full blast. Their entire set was a celebration of their impact and staying power.

Sunday, May 28th
Young Miko
An absolute standout. Young Miko‘s confidence, charisma, and connection with the crowd made it feel like she’s been headlining festivals for years. She held nothing back and left a real impression as one of the brightest new names in the game. A fan even brought her flowers.

Ryan Castro
Colombian artist Ryan Castro continued the party as he hit the stage. His natural swagger and easy rhythm made him one of the best warmups of the day. He had the crowd dancing early and set a lively tone that carried into the afternoon.

Eladio Carrión
Eladio brought a gritty, laid-back cool to the Sueños stage. Supporting his 3MEN2 KBRN album, he effortlessly breezed through fan favorites with a sharp flow that felt both commanding and effortless. Tracks like “Coco Chanel” hit hard, blending melodic hooks with bars that got the crowd bouncing. His set added a new dimension to the day.

Becky G
Becky G made an excellent debut at Sueños, and I appreciate having seen her live for the first time while on the Sueños mainstage. The dancers, visuals, and vocals were in sync and full of joy. It was the kind of set that felt like a gift to her fans.
A powerful moment came when she paused to speak directly to the crowd. “To my younger self and all the dreamers out there who’ve ever been told no, who’ve ever been told that they’re too small and not enough — you’re worth all the space in the world.” A message like that hits different when it’s coming from someone who’s walked the walk. It was one of the most heartfelt moments of the weekend.

Myke Towers
With “LALA” climbing the charts, Myke Towers hit the stage in full stride. His delivery was smooth, and the crowd was all in, screaming his name and waving signs with his name on them. Every moment of his set showed why he continues to level up.

Nicky Jam
Nicky Jam’s set felt like a victory lap. Every song sparked a reaction and felt like a great throwback. People were waving flags, singing every lyric, and dancing with real emotion. It was a celebration of where he’s been and how much his music still resonates.

Grupo Firme
Grupo Firme brought one of the most electric, feel-good sets of the entire weekend. With booming brass, powerhouse vocals, and undeniable swagger, they transformed Grant Park into a celebration of música regional done their way. Their sound carried across the skyline, and every song landed like a shared anthem. They toasted with fans, danced across the stage, and performed with heart. Whether you came for the banda, the energy, or the spectacle, they made it impossible not to be swept up in the moment.
