Global powerhouse Ryan Castro took the stage at the 2026 FIFA World Cup Opening Ceremony at Mexico City’s iconic Estadio Azteca, performing alongside J Balvin during one of the most anticipated sporting events in the world. Watch here.

The Colombian stars performed “Una A La Vez,” a standout track from their recently released collaborative album OMERTA, bringing Latin music to a global audience as part of the historic celebration marking the tournament’s start.

The appearance marks another major milestone in a landmark year for Ryan Castro, whose global profile continues to expand across music, culture, sports, and entertainment. Earlier this year, Ryan also took the global stage at Coachella, where he was brought out as a surprise guest by Karol G during her Weekend 2 performance.

The World Cup Opening Ceremony performance also arrives on the heels of Ryan’s recent appearance on Billboard’s Global World Cup Series cover alongside Colombian National Team star Luis Díaz. The feature formed part of Billboard’s special 11-cover series celebrating the 2026 FIFA World Cup, pairing some of the tournament’s biggest soccer stars with influential artists from their respective countries.

The cover further highlights the deep connection between music and soccer in Colombian culture, a relationship Ryan has long championed throughout his career, most notably through his hit anthem “El Ritmo Que Nos Une,” which featured appearances from members of Colombia’s National Team, including Díaz and Luis Fernando Quintero.

Ryan is no stranger to performing in stadiums. Earlier this year, he made history with his sold-out concert at Medellín’s Estadio Atanasio Girardot, which drew more than 47,000 fans and sold out in less than two hours. He is also set to headline Bogotá’s Estadio El Campín on October 31, one of the most anticipated concerts of the year in Colombia. Most recently, Ryan announced two additional stadium dates in Cali and Bucaramanga as part of the closing chapter of his SENDÉ Tour across Colombia.

Beyond Colombia, Ryan’s momentum continues this September with the launch of SENDE The Last Dance, the second leg of his U.S. tour. The 16-date arena run marks the next chapter in a touring campaign that has seen the Colombian star sell out stadiums, break attendance records, and expand his reach across international markets.
