Everyone knows catching Tchami live is beyond a sacred experience. From the opening dramatic organs that filled Echostage’s magical space with exuberance, until the very last drop of the night,  not a single body was still as the French DJ launched an exquisitely curated set.

Despite having just announced his highly-anticipated debut album, and dropping double singles with HANA and Daecolm, one of the best things about Tchami’s set was his masterful weaving of deep-cut tracks and rising artists among his own internationally loved dance-floor bangers.

From artists like Frents and GODAMN to Reece Low and MNNR, Tchami threw down total heaters recently released on his prestigious Confession label. The soaring energy exploded as the artist born Martin Joseph Léonard Bresso dropped “Summer 99” — his collab with label artist Malaa. It was immediately clear from the overwhelming response that everyone in attendance definitely caught the pair’s iconic No Redemption show at Echostage in 2018.

To make matters even better, the night was led by incredible visuals, showing larger-than-life Tchami-shaped distortions, colorful kaleidoscopic flares, and a bumping basilica to match the sea of people wearing clergy collars and black outfits just like their favorite artist.

The heat never peaked and the vibes only got stronger as Tchami dropped all-time favorites like “Rainforest,” “Godspell,” “Adieu” and his remix of AlunaGeorge’s “You Know You Like It.” Always a distinct tastemaker, Tchami mixed in some Wax Motif, DJ Snake, Marten Hørger, and of course his track “Ghosts” with HANA. Once again proving the French producer knows how to make each show an unforgettable experience.

The Elevation Tour will see Tchami return this fall with a confirmed set at Coachella. While fans anxiously await further debut album news, the future-house pioneer recently shared stems for his two latest tracks, encouraging fans and producers to “remix it, play with it, destroy it, or do something else.” See the rest of my photos from Tchami’s Elevation Tour and past coverage here.
