Australian/English pop artist Mereki has released her latest single, “Twin Flame,” an atmospheric track perfectly capturing the dizzying feeling of being in love. The song starts with swelling, chamber pop vocals before transitioning into a more upbeat, electronic sound. According to Mereki, the song is about meeting someone and feeling an instant connection, like you’ve known them in a past life. The track is released today with a lyric video– watch below.

Mereki is becoming increasingly known for creating vibrant musical worlds that convey messages of transcendence and healing, with a purpose of spreading positivity through music. The hypnotic concoction of “Twin Flame” is no exception. Having already seen success as a songwriter and collaborator, she’s connected with major names like Dan Nigro, Justin Raisen, and Ariel Rechtshaid, to create music for artists like Kylie Minogue, Phantogram, and A-trak. During this time, she found time to craft her own sound, delivering her debut single, “Blue Lake” to critical acclaim, and eventually leading to her debut EP, Beach.

Reminiscent of Natalie Prass, Mereki she blends indie-pop and dreamy qualities to create a unique sound. Returning to music in 2022, Mereki made an appearance at Glastonbury Festival and a host of UK festivals, alongside headline shows in London. The new music offers a taste of what’s to come in 2023, as Mereki continues her journey towards self-realization. Along with her music, Mereki also started a charity, Be Kind, which partnered with Happy Baby Community for a holiday fundraiser to provide long-term support for asylum-seeking new mothers and their babies.
