“take a number” is out via Platoon
Today, electronic duo Marian Hill – consisting of singer Sam Gongol and producer Jeremy Lloyd – is sharing their new single “take a number” featuring singer-songwriter Dounia. The sultry, bass-heavy track follows the pair’s 2018 album, Unusual and is the first offering of a few singles the band plans to release over the next couple of months. Described as a “salty little snack” by the New York-based duo, the new single first emerged from a beat-making session where Jeremy and the producer, Pasque (Amine’s main collaborator) cranked the bass knob as high as it could go on an old Rhodes to get the craziest sound. “We wanted to wake people up with this song – there’s so much noise right now, there’s more music than ever, and we really tried to zero in on making something crazy and in your face and undeniable that only we could make.” They nailed it.
