SELF TITLED is due May 12th on Hollywood Records

Dallas-based alt-pop trio, little image, has announced their debut album, SELF TITLED, which will be released on May 12th via Hollywood Records. The band collaborated with producer Chad Copelin (Sufjan Stevens, 5 Seconds of Summer) to craft the diverse soundscape of the album, which features previously released songs, “LUNGS BURN,” “WORTH IT,” “EGO,” and “BLUE.”

To commemorate the announcement, little image recently premiered their new single, “OUT OF MY MIND,” on Sirius XM’s Alt Nation, along with a music video directed by Sawyer Skipper. Watch below.

Over the past decade, little image has evolved from a group of suburban teens with a passion for underground indie rock to the cohesive unit they are today. The band consists of Jackson Simmons (vocals/guitar), Brandon Walters (bass/synth), and Troy Bruner (drums), who have come into their own during the 2020 lockdown. The extra time leading up to the creation of their debut album allowed them to fully expand on the potential of their early singles and explore new ways to compose a pop-rock song beyond the traditional guitar/bass/drums format. This creative burst was further fueled by their partnership with Copelin, who created a nurturing studio environment that enabled each band member to explore their influences.

“SELF TITLED” boasts many memorable moments, from the funky hip-hop groove of “BALLET” and the electro-dance break in “WORTH IT,” to the acoustic softness of “MAKEUP” and “LUNGS BURN,” an indie-dance track reminiscent of M83. While tracks like the guitar-oriented “BLUE,” a song inspired by the recent political turmoil in America, and their new single “OUT OF MY MIND” further demonstrate their strength as writers and collaborators. A love song written by Simmons, the double-meaning of “OUT OF MY MIND,” which speaks about both their romantic partners and their relationship as a band, is bound to resonate with millions of listeners.

It’s clear “SELF TITLED” is not just a collection of songs, but a deliberate narrative of self-doubt, self-reflection, and, ultimately, self-love, that permeates through every track. In support of the album, the band is set to embark on a U.S. tour opening for Colony House from February through April. Live, they bring a fully realized experience, both sonically and visually, to any venue they play. They previously impressed audiences while opening for Panic! At The Disco and playing a headlining show at Los Angeles’ The Moroccan Lounge.  See all little image tour dates below (tickets) and pre-order/save their debut album HERE.
