Japanese girl group HANA release pop bop “BAD GIRL”: Stream

Rising global Japanese girl group HANA has finally dropped their highly anticipated pop bop, “BAD GIRL,” which you may have heard in Apple’s “Group Selfie on iPhone 17 Pro” campaign. The song is out now with a performance video via No Label/Sony Music Japan.

“BAD GIRL” expresses the universal desire to be loved and accepted. It’s a slightly bittersweet rock love song that portrays the awkwardness and inner conflict of not being able to be your true self in front of someone you love, and instead trying to match their ideal. The seven members of HANA each convey these emotions through their own voices.

The song comes shortly after the release of their self-titled debut, which charted on the Billboard Japan charts and has put them at the forefront of global expansion. You can listen to their album, HANA, HERE. Within the next couple of months, HANA will deliver their debut U.S. performance at Zipangu Festival hosted by Japanese rock artist Ado in partnership with Goldenvoice.

Since their debut in April 2025, HANA has continued to release music nonstop, steadily establishing their presence in the scene. The group has undoubtedly dominated the Japanese Pop market, with continuous number one debuts on Billboard Japan and even instances where they knock themselves off the charts, the septet is truly a force to be reckoned with.

By exploring multiple different genres as the group grows and sticking true to their message, HANA has garnered attention from music lovers around the world. “With their charismatic appeal and luminary talent, HANA is ready to take on the world as long as they’re doing it together,” says Forbes. With the momentum internationally brewing, the girls truly are carving out their own lane in the global pop scene as the biggest girl group to come from Japan. Stream “BAD GIRL” by HANA.
