Colores is out now via Universal Music Latin
Colombian megastar J Balvin and Vevo have partnered to share exclusive live performances in support of Colores. Kicking off the 4-part series today is the album’s opener “Amarillo.” While next week we’ll see the release of “Azul,” “Negro” and “Rojo.”
Released on March 19th, Colores is the latest chart-topping album by the Medellín-born artist. Taking to his Instagram Live recently, J Balvin discussed the creative process behind this new album and the importance of continuing the uplifting vibes and emotions felt throughout 2018s Vibras and 2016s Energia. He’s undoubtedly succeeded.
Part of what makes Colores so special is Balvin’s strong desire to return to his sonic roots – opting for only two features on the album while showcasing the distinct flow that has quickly made him a household name. The album dropped just days after “Blanco,” one of its lead singles, reached #1 on the Latin Airplay charts. Notching J Balvin another major milestone of becoming the Latin Urban artist with the most #1 singles.
This latest partnership with Vevo also arrives after historic years for the artist. In addition to dominating mainstage at Coachella and becoming the first-ever Latin artist to headline Lollapalooza, J Balvin also sold out arenas worldwide on his incredible Arcoiris Tour while on the road to collecting his fourth Latin Grammy, the AMA for “Favorite Latin Artist” and much more.
