How to Quit Smoking due October 9 via Columbia Records

Dominic Fike has announced his third album, How to Quit Smoking, and released its lead single “Wallflower.” He’s writing and recording the album in real time on the road, with songs and visuals shaped by whichever city he’s playing that week, so the record’s final shape is still taking form as the “Comedy Tragedy Parody” tour continues through the fall. The album is set for release on October 9th.

“Wallflower” carries that same stripped-back approach, with a gritty energy led by muffled electronic guitars and a hopeful 90s pop-rock cadence. On the track, Fike questions someone’s evasiveness and cowardice, eventually affecting his opinion of them and their relationship. Fike announced the album exclusively through its official IG account @separatestreet this month, with more updates and developments to be posted live as the album continues to evolve and take shape.

The song arrives in a year that has also seen Dominic’s “Babydoll” resurface after he began performing it to Australian audiences at the end of last year. Originally released in 2018, “Babydoll” hit #1 on the Spotify Global and US charts, crossed 2 billion streams, and landed on the Billboard Hot 100 eight years after its release. Fike has also collaborated with Isaiah Rashad on his song “CAMERAS,” Kenny Mason’s “FIND GOD,” and Ravyn Lenae’s “Reputation.”
