SUGAREGG is due August 21 via SubPop: Pre-Save
Bully is back with a new single and video, “Where To Start.” Summoning the grungy punk rock, anthemic hooks, and poetic lyricism that defined their first two albums, the track finds lead vocalist Alicia Bognanno examining a poisonous and difficult relationship carrying more issues than resolutions.
“I’m always / Settling, caving in, stuck again / Breathe it in, fake the win, and break again / And I don’t know where to start” declares Bognanno through a storm of distorted guitars and drums. It’s the introspective and honest take on life that has always made Bully’s music such an immersive and personal experience for listeners.
“Where To Start” arrives with news the band’s third album, SUGAREGG, will be released on August 21st via SubPop. Three years in the making, the album will contain 12 tracks. In addition to the album news, between June 11-19th, the band is committing $5 from every signed record, signed CD and t-shirt sale to Gideon’s Army, a community-based, grassroots organization in Nashville that uses restorative justice programs to dismantle the school-to-prison pipeline through social activism by children, families, and the community.
