DFR (Remixes) out via IDGAFOS/Mad Decent
Black Caviar has tossed their hat in the remix ring for the Dillion Francis track “DFR.” Released on Friday (02/21) and one of three remixes to the track, the duo brings high anticipation immediately and keeps listeners strapped in with tasteful ambiance, drum types, and an ensemble of strings balanced by pristine vocal chops.
With this latest remix, the well-renowned duo from NYC fully adopts the identifiable sounds of Dillion Francis while molding them into an exciting signature dance pattern. The vocals in the chorus pair perfectly with the high-pitched analog sounds heard tastefully placed in both drops. Not to mention that slight bassline adding just the right amount of groove throughout the whole track, even in the buildups. The track as a whole is a great take on DFR mashed into a new dancefloor must – and if you’re not hitting the club with this track, it absolutely belongs in your own DJ playlist for that jamming car ride.
Black Caviar’s remix of “DFR” follows the recent release of their EP Caviar Chronicles Vol 1, collaborations with KREAM, Justin Caruso, and opportunities to remix songs on the Charlie’s Angels and Spiderman: Into The Spider-Verse soundtracks. See past Black Caviar coverage here.
