Meg Stalter launches music career with “Prettiest Girl in America”
Actress and comedian Meg Stalter officially launches her music career with the release of her debut single, “Prettiest Girl in America,” the first offering from her upcoming album Crave, out later this summer. Listen below and all platforms here.
Best known for her breakout roles in Hacks and Too Much, Stalter has built a devoted following with her singular comedic voice and unpredictable presence. With “Prettiest Girl in America,” she channels that same energy into pop by delivering a track that’s as addictive as it is unhinged, balancing sharp humor with real musicality. The kind of song you play once and immediately need again.
The single introduces Crave, a project that explores identity, desire, and self-perception through a distinctly offbeat lens. Drawing inspiration from early 2000s pop, the album leans into contradiction, being both playful and biting, while also polished and chaotic, positioning Stalter as an unexpected new voice in music. If Crave has a thesis, it’s this: pop music should feel as good as it is a little unhinged.
“Five words: It’s a no skips album,” says Stalter.
All songs on Crave, including “Prettiest Girl in America,” were written by Stalter alongside Jesse Thomas, with production by Stalter, Thomas, and Matias Mora.
“Prettiest Girl in America” is available now on all major streaming platforms. Crave arrives this summer.
