KATSEYE drops “PINKY UP” ahead of Coachella debut

KATSEYE has released “PINKY UP,” a new single arriving ahead of their debut performance today at Coachella.

The track is produced by dwilly, “hitman” bang, and FRANTS, and leans into a punk-influenced sound built around bold percussion, a driving bassline, and layered synth textures. Thematically, it carries a message of living without hesitation — confident and unapologetic in tone, consistent with the persona the Grammy-nominated group has cultivated since their debut.

An accompanying music video, directed by Bardia Zeinali and produced by Roisín Moloney, is out now as well. The video casts the members in a series of ordinary environments reframed as their own space — centered on themes of confidence and self-acceptance. “PINKY UP” made its broadcast debut on MTV Live, MTVU, and the Paramount Times Square billboards. Watch below.

The release comes off a strong start to 2026 for the group. KATSEYE earned two Grammy nominations this year — Best New Artist and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance — and their performance at the ceremony drew attention from both Forbes and ELLE. Their EP Beautiful Chaos (HYBE x Geffen Records) debuted in the top five of the Billboard 200, and their first headline tour in support of it sold out entirely. The group has also appeared on the cover of New York Magazine’s The Cut, been featured in Vogue’s April issue, and earned a GLAAD Media Awards nomination for Outstanding Breakthrough Music Artist.

KATSEYE — Daniela, Lara, Manon, Megan, Sophia, and Yoonchae — were formed through HYBE and Geffen Records’ Dream Academy, as documented on Netflix’s Pop Star Academy. The group was named one of Google’s top trending musicians in the U.S. in 2025 and TikTok’s Global Artist of the Year.

In addition to Coachella, the group is set to headline the Head in the Clouds and Hinterland Music Festivals and perform at The Governors Ball this summer. Follow KATSEYE to stay informed.
