Bad Gyal Drops ‘Más Cara,’ Her Most Ambitious Statement Yet

Más Cara is out now on Interscope/Universal

Bad Gyal has never been interested in fitting neatly into anyone’s idea of what she should sound like, and Más Cara, her second studio album, makes that clearer than ever.

Released today, the 19-track project is what she calls her “dream playlist,” a deeply personal body of work rooted in the music that shaped her earliest memories. Developed across Miami, Puerto Rico, Colombia, and Spain, Más Cara moves through reggaeton, R&B, dancehall, merengue house, Jamaican shatta, guaracha, and Haitian kompa with the kind of fluency that only comes from genuine love for the music — not a calculated reach for range.

Entirely co-written by Bad Gyal and executive produced by Cromo X, the album was crafted alongside a new generation of producers — Botlok, Jorge Milliano, Mazzarri, and Wicked Outside — as well as genre architects like Luny Tunes, Nely el Arma Secreta, Ovy On The Drums, and Sky Rompiendo. The result is cohesive without being predictable, genre-fluid without losing focus.

Across the album, Bad Gyal moves between boldness and vulnerability, intimacy and spectacle — reclaiming space in a genre that has historically centered male voices, and doing it with confidence and intention. Standouts like “Un Coro Y Ya :),” “La Iniciativa,” “De To,” “Fa$hion Killa,” and the title track anchor the project, while a sharp collaborator lineup — Ozuna, Chencho Corleone, Jenny “La Sexy Voz,” and others — expands its sonic world without losing focus on Bad Gyal.

Arriving alongside the album is the official video for “Un Coro Y Ya :),” directed by Daniel Sannwald and styled by Gadir Rajab. Shot in Barcelona, it’s sensual and cinematic, and very much hers. Watch below.

Earlier this week, Bad Gyal performed at the Premios Goya — singing in Catalan in her debut appearance at the ceremony — and is heading into a near-sold-out tour across Spain, including a headlining set at Primavera Sound.
