Australian club-pop duo 2charm are set to release their debut album star scum city this Friday, February 27, and have announced their debut headline tour will start in March, with a stop at Subterranean on March 12 (Tickets HERE).

The news arrives with the release of a new single, “invisible wings,” which the duo say was the first 2charm song they ever made. Melancholic before reaching “peak euphoria and release,” the song is an emotional, thumping track. The song was made with Ninajirachi “in the spare room of Mallrat’s house in LA,” and the duo say they knew something clicked the first time they heard the post-chorus back.

Described by the group as a “g00ner pop” project, star scum city arrives following a few must-hear previews, “boyfriend” and “paris (to get you out my head),” and is influenced by EDM/techno sleaze touchpoints they name as deadmau5, SOPHIE, Skrillex, and Zedd. 2charm describe the record as sweaty club-pop built on distorted beats, razor-edged hooks, and cinematic synthscapes, with collaborators including Ninajirachi, 1tbsp, and Simon Lam (Kllo, Armlock).

The run started with “boyfriend,” which the duo view as capturing “the afterglow of a perfect euro summer” and the feeling of wanting something you know you shouldn’t and giving in anyway. Produced by Ninajirachi, the song is built around heart-pumping beats, guitar-synth textures, and pitched vocal hooks—flirty, playful, and pushed by deep low-end.

After the album drops, the star scum city – USA album tour kicks off March 5 at The Roxy Theatre in West Hollywood, then runs through March 21 with stops at Elsewhere in Brooklyn (March 6), Larimer Lounge in Denver (March 19), Rickshaw Stop in San Francisco (March 20), and Barboza in Seattle (March 21).
